Christel Houston has been teaching piano and voice lessons since junior high, but established the Houston Music Studio as a business since graduating from Azusa Pacific University with a degree in piano performance and music education. She renewed her love for teaching voice after gaining a certificate from the Universitá Internationale de Urbino in Urbino, Italy in piano and vocal studies.
Christel currently teaches 20 private students, 30 students in ensembles, and music and drama classes at Christian Heritage School in Steamboat Springs.
The Houston Music Studio presents four recitals each year, as well as individual recitals, music festivals, and public concerts.
